Remove or Correct My Information

Public records are public, but you can ask us to hide or fix what we show.

Some data we republish names individuals, such as health care providers in the federal NPI registry, or shows details about a home or business. If information about you is on our site, you can ask us to hide it or correct it. We don't charge for this.

  • Hide: we remove the page or the details you name and tell search engines it is gone. It stays hidden when we refresh our data.
  • Correct: we check your information against the source and update it, marked as corrected by the owner.
  • Closed or moved business: we mark it as closed or moved and keep a record, as we do for all listings.
  • Protected person: if you are a judge, prosecutor, law enforcement officer or another person covered by New Jersey's Daniel's Law, the federal Daniel Anderl Judicial Security and Privacy Act or a similar state law, or an immediate family member, choose "Protected person" below. We hide your home address and phone number wherever they appear on our site within 10 business days of your request, usually much sooner.

We reply by email, usually within 2 business days, and finish most requests within 7 days. Protected person requests are always completed within 10 business days. To protect people, we may ask you to confirm the request is yours. Note that we can only change our site; the original agency record stays with the agency.
