About this dataset
The CY 2014 PFS final rule with comment period was placed on display at the Federal Register on November 27, 2013. It was published in the Federal Register on December 10, 2013. The final rule addresses changes to the physician fee schedule, payments for Part B drugs, and other Medicare Part B payment policies, to ensure that our payment systems are updated to reflect changes in current medical practices and the relative value of those services. Effective January 1, 2014 to March 31, 2014, as directed by the Congressional passage of the "Pathway for SGR Reform Act of 2013" on December 18, 2013, the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) Conversion Factor is $35.8228. This reflects a 0.5 percent increase from the previous year. The "Pathway for SGR Reform Act of 2013" also extends the non-budget neutral work GPCI floor (1.0) to April 1, 2014.
