Frequently asked questions

How many government auctions are open right now?
We track 958 open listings from GSA Auctions, Treasury, IRS Auctions and USDA as of 10/26/2026, including 58 homes, land and commercial properties.
Which state has the most government auctions?
Texas has the most open listings with 120, followed by Washington (63), Colorado (56), California (46).
Can I bid on these auctions here?
No. We do not run auctions or take bids. Every listing links to the official government site or its contractor, where you register, bid and pay.
Why aren't HUD homes listed here?
The HUD Home Store and RealEstateSales.gov do not allow automated copying of their listings, so we link to their official searches instead of showing data that could be out of date.
Are foreclosure auctions and sheriff sales included?
Court-ordered foreclosure, sheriff and tax sales are run by each county. Our state and county pages explain how these sales work locally, show statutory sale dates where state law sets them, and link to official county auction sites.
