Figures are reported by local election offices to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. Some offices do not report every item, so a total may be marked with the number of jurisdictions that reported it. Voters as a share of registered is not the same as turnout of eligible citizens.

Frequently asked questions
- Are these official results?
- Yes. Results come from the FEC's Federal Elections publications, which compile the official results certified by each state's election office. DatenUS does not show projections or unofficial counts.
- Why are the latest House and Senate results missing?
- The FEC publishes its full results compilation months after an election. Until it does, only the official presidential results it has released are shown. Your state election office posts certified results sooner.
